The bamboo studio is finally complete. See below for a before and after as well as pictures of the finished product.
The bamboo design on the front of the house is remindful of the pattern made by bamboo growing in the wild…
You walk into the kitchen / studio area. The bamboo gates are made of bamboo “slices” to provide a separation, yet allow the air flow from the outside and a visual of the garden.
Before going upstairs, the view from the garden looking back at the studio… take the spiral staircase up…
The balcony runs the width of the back of the house, with doors to the bedroom. Coconut juice bar on tap. Love those thick accordion style
bamboo doors…
And finally, the loft-style bedroom, open to the stone bathtub area… Love the bamboo poles as room dividers. Note the bamboo bed, mattress coming soon (with bamboo sheets of course).
One unexpected feature is that the two windows face Calle Ganado, a street full of foot traffic, street scenes and ever changing vignettes of Nica life… Watching from above as a group of black goats pass by, three people on a bicycle, a man selling cheese from tub on his head, a stray dog or two, horse drawn carriages and families strolling by when the heat subsides at dusk…
Looks great !
