Party time in Granada….

Granada is a politically conservative town. The expat community is anything but… Faithful blog readers may recall earlier themed parties such as “snake charmers and belly dancers.” This Halloween the theme was “taste of death”. Hence, it made sense that the first visual for our guests would be rats cooked Nica style on a grill outside the front door (no worries, this was for visuals and dramatic effect only, no one actually ate them.) Definitely “over the top.”

Somewhere along the way, Taste of Death morphed into a loose collection of bull fighter (death of bull), Gandhi (reincarnation), mermaid (that calls sailors till they crash on rocks)…
