CO2 Bambu has impact through construction of rural schools

CO2 Bambu’s social and environmental impact is not limited to building social housing. Nicaragua has a huge deficit in schools, specifically in rural areas where schools are often so far from pockets of population, that children face very long distances to go to school. As a result, the drop out rate is high, and for those who do attend regularly, children are often affected by the distance traveled to and from school. CO2 Bambu’s bamboo-based schools are cost competitive, logistically appropriate for rural school programs and offer an opportunity to demonstrate to Nicaraguan children that construction can be eco-friendly. This album will trace our achievements in the field of education.
