Coming back to Nicaragua after a fabulous trip to Colombia, we experience a boost of our appreciation for Nicaragua. Yes it was great to be in larger cities and of course it’s always exciting to travel to new destinations, but the authenticity of Nicaragua comes in sharp relief after a two week absence. From the interaction with people about town, or the herd of 6 free-roaming goats I ran into while taking the dogs down the block, or the “singing” fruit ladies whose baskets carry the ingredients for our breakfast fruit shake… it all comes back in a flash why we opted to put some roots down in Granada.
The big activity for this period is the construction of Peta’s studio and for CO2 Bambu, the execution of a first “urban renovation” project. Here are some pics of the activities…
For our part, while Julio and Edwin guide the assembly team, we take care of the “fun stuff”, such as looking for large bamboo-colored rough stones to use as flooring for the bathroom, and going to the beach to collect flat stones to be used for the shower.
